Rara vez a los ojos is a novel in which a person who discovers that they are suffering from this condition decides to force the machine of their body to visualise a mind image. This attempt makes them embark on a journey involving a concatenation of landscapes, characters and structures, each representing a different form of the idea of creation. The story seeks to disentangle the ideas of imagination and creativity, which, far from being synonymous, are almost antagonistic strategies for evoking the idea of the new.
