Based on a lived experience in the forest and through the medium of video essay, the artist uses correspondence to initiate a dialogue with the viewer, which evolves over the course of the exhibition. This dialogue questions whether Thoreau was right when he wrote that living in the woods is living life in a true way, and that isolation is a response to a desire for civil disobedience — or whether it is simply a romanticization of nature.
