This project explores the notion of belonging within a group, critically addressing how collective bonds are constructed and how dynamics of inclusion and exclusion operate. It begins from the everyday and embodied experience of the group in order to open up questions about the social, symbolic and affective structures that define who belongs to a collective and, at the same time, what its desires and fears may be.
Through objects, words and sculpture, the project has explored different materialities and is grounded in contemporary artistic practice as a tool for knowledge, reflection and intervention.

We still do not know whether utopias can truly be achieved, but we do know that there are people who have managed to bring seemingly impossible ideas into reality. We also know that we have all dreamed of having fantastical beings nearby who can move things with their minds; or bottomless bags from which everything we ask for can emerge without limitation. If we place fiction at the service of the public spaces we inhabit, perhaps we may open cracks from which to imagine other possible parks, streets or squares.

Fito Conesa and the 3rd ESO students at Institut Narcís Monturiol have engaged in a sustained process over time in which the classroom has been understood as a field of artistic research where the object of study has been the voice understood as sonic matter.
Res i tot. El so del silenci is a sound piece that can only be experienced live. This decision responds to the desire to place listening in the present moment, without recording or reproduction, so that anyone taking part does so under the same ephemeral condition that has defined the entire process.
Ultimately, this presentation does not seek to share a linear narrative but rather a collective experience. It simply proposes a situation: a space where sensitivity, attention and bodily presence become central to understanding the poetic dimension of how we listen and how we relate to our sonic environment.

Estratègies per escoltar un remolí (Strategies for Listening to an Eddy)

This is a shared process: a year of trials, mistakes, silences and listening, exploring collective ways of generating other forms of being and inhabiting the world.
The project began with a tarot reading in which the card of a whirlpool appeared, a place from which we position ourselves. Traversed by the turbulence of everyday life, we have activated strategies to sustain ourselves and build a boat: a safe space from which to navigate.
The pieces that compose it are made of clay, though before that they were soil: soil collected from the city ground, filtered by hand and slowly transformed.
Each form contains a gesture, sustained attention, an open question: traces of a collective process, imprints of what has taken place between us.
There are also the sounds we wished to listen to, found objects endowed with new meanings, and all that cannot be seen at first glance.

Can we extract the skin of a space? As though it were a shell preserving something intangible, fragile and intimate? This project stems from a search for pathways and resonances within the spaces we inhabit through practical exercises situated somewhere between archaeology, observation, speculation and listening. A sculptural practice that brings intangible elements to the surface, within the delicate space between image, material support and word.
