Issues 3 and 4 of Brida, a magazine launched by nyamnyam (Ariadna Rodríguez and Iñaki Álvarez) and produced by LIO (La Impremta Oberta), will be presented at La Capella’s Espai Finestres on Saturday 24 October at 12.30 pm.
Friday at 12 pm / Brida no. 3 is the result of an invitation extended to the group at La Capella’s School of Context of Publications to create a collective publication at Espai nyamnyam. The publication brings together fragments, traces and echoes of the experience shared at the school, as well as exploring how that experience has influenced the practices and modes of thought of its members.
‘Subir, bajar, subir, bajar’ (Going up, going down, going up, going down) / Brida no. 4 brings together texts from the performance Beata Viscera by the artist Luca Calderó, which took place at Espai nyamnyam in May 2026. The publication showcases texts, images and drawings that emerged from a writing process centred on the role of flesh in mystical experiences and its relationship with performance art.
The presentation of these two issues will form the basis of a shared discussion on what happens when artistic processes take the form of a publication: transferred to the page, what remains, what is transformed and what new forms of circulation are generated. The discussion will also offer an opportunity to review La Capella’s relationship with publishing practices, ranging from its School of Context of Publications to collaborative partnerships with projects such as nyamnyam and Brida.
The presentation will be attended by Ariadna Rodríguez and Iñaki Álvarez (nyamnyam), Anna Pahissa and members of La Capella’s School of Context of Publications, as well as the artist Luca Calderó.
