Sense matriu is derived from the work done in the two editions of the graduate course Graphic work today: the engraved stamp fingerprint made in the Culture Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona.
This postgraduate is the contribution with which the Faculty of Fine Arts has contributed to the PA & R program, European Printmaking Art & Research; a teaching project that has allowed to collaborate with different centers throughout Europe.

The course -the result of which a more panoramic, are available on CD edited propòsit- sought to explore the phenomenon of the art form today, gradually moved out of the body of the paper, and intense dialogue with new Technological means. Sense Matriu is, in this perspective, a volibly ambivalent expression.

On the one hand, it designates this widening of the territories of the printing beyond the matrix of the traditional engraving. Of course, under this statement, the exhibition also wants to insinuate the weather conditions from which contemporary production is developed.
Parallel to the exhibition Sense matriu, there will be a series of panel discussions that include the participation of young artists from the exhibition, along with others of a more extensive history and spilled in this field of research plastic and visual that the new technologies are revealing.
